The handicap committee of 2 has decided that the best (easiest) way to keep everyone's handicaps is to use a system call GHIN. The USGA uses such a system. We are going to join the Metropolitan Golf Association which will issue our members a GHIN #. If you already have one, please forward it to Susan Giannone orgwhb@aol.com with the club number. This number will allow each and everyone of you to enter your own scores for club outings and for any other rounds that you play. You can enter these scores at the course you play or from home via a computer. There are many other benefits to belonging to the MGA. You can go on their web site www.mgagolf.org to check this out. The membership and GHIN # service this year costs $10 each for 1/2 year and next year it will be $20 per person.
Club Tourament: You will have an established handicap which will be updated for every outing. You will deducted your strokes from your gross score on each hole and give yourself a point or two depending on the score. For example: Handicap 18, you get one stroke per hole, gross a 5 less one stroke you have a 4 (Par 4) 2 pts. If the handicap is 21 you get one stroke per hole and another stroke on the three hardest holes. Add up the pts. for your round and the total is added up for the season. Most pts. WINS!
